The number of the Company helicopters in the DRC has reached 8

Ukrainian Helicopters increased the number of helicopters in the Democratic Republic of the Congo: five company helicopters were added to three aircrafts operating in Goma, Bukavu and Kinshasa, four of them made a transcontinental flight Kiev-Sofia (Bulgaria) - Dalaman (Turkey), Cairo (Egypt) - Aswan (Egypt) - Khartoum (Sudan Republic) - Juba (Republic of South Sudan) - Goma (Democratic Republic of Congo).

Training Flights at "Chaika” Airport

On September 14, 2011 Ukrainian Helicopters' staff were trained to work with the cargo on external sling and water buckets (bambi bucket) at "Chaika" Airport in Kiev.

 Under the guidance of experienced instructors- Deputy Director of Operations G.Krivoshei, Deputy Director of Flight and Methodology of Operations Department E. Krekun, Chief of Flight Engineers Service I. Roshchupkin and private pilot instructor V. Wyszynski, the pilots conducted training flights on UR-CCQ, UR-CDK and UR-CDH helicopters.

Company’s Performance in the first sixth months of 2010

In the first sixth months of 2010 Company's fleet of helicopters remained unchanged and consisted of 24 aircrafts, with 23 helicopters worked under the UN contracts, that is tree aircrafts more than in the same period in 2010.

Our Company Has Trained American Pilots to Fly Mi-8MTV-1 Helicopters

Training flights were carried through the period of August 29 - September 2 on the basis of Kremenchug Flight College UNAM under the contract with the Canadian company "Concord XXI, Inc."

The training course was completed by Michael Adair, U.S. Army chief warrant officer 5, Ernest Cisneros, CW4, and David Edhegard, CW4 retired.

Working Meeting with Pilots-in-Command

On August 4, 2011 V. Tkachenko, Chairman of the Board, Director General of the Aviation Company "Ukrainian Helicopters" had a working meeting with the pilots-in-command.

The meeting was attended by the PICs: Yu. Bortnik, A. Bortnyak, A.Volkov, S. Yena, E. Kostik, H.Madaminov, S.Nedogibchenko, E.Nichiporuk , A.Plastun, N.Sakun, V.Tkachik, O.Khilko and L. Chugaynov.

The issues on the agenda included: implementation of the decisions made at the working meeting held on 07.06.2011 and extending the length of Spoken English Course at the Aviation Training Center.

Department of Operations’ 2011 Biannual Progress Meeting

On August 4, Ukrainian Helicopters Department of Operations held a meeting to summarize the deliverables over the first six months of 2011. The meeting was attended by 90 flight personnel. The meeting addressed basic work-plan progress indicators over the course of July and the first six months of 2011, and the status of proficiency training and safety.

Implementation of Action Plan approved at the Joint Working Meeting of Director General and Pilots in Command of PJSC "Ukrainian Helicopters"

There is no denying the fact that Company's personal is key to its success. Thus, a lot of efforts are being made to train Company's staff, create good working environment, thus improving people's morale. Ukrainian Helicopters (UH) Management has developed some incentives to encourage personal development of the personnel and one of the signs proving its efficient is increase in the number of the employed within the period of six months from 321 in January 2010 to 429.
