Company’s Performance in 2010

In 2010 Company's fleet of helicopters remained unchanged and made 24 aircrafts.

On August 18 the UR-HLG Mi-8MTV-1 crew of the Aviation Company 'Ukrainian Helicopters', having successfully performed the assigned aviation works on large scale firefighting in Kaluga region, returned from the Russian Federation

 Firefighting works were performed on a pro bono basis by a reinforced air crew consisting of flight commander chief of aviation group N.A. Naida, pilots in command S.V. Nozdrin, A.I. Mindarev, A.N. Gripas, co-pilot S.V. Savchenko, flight engineers E.U. Suchkin, I.V. Volokhovich, aircraft technicians V.E. Rodin and A.V. Korovnichenk.

Company gave a helping hand to the Russian Federation in extinguishing large-scale forest fires

In accordance with the decree of the President of Ukraine 1-1/1664 dated 02.08.2010 and the decision of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine #08-10556/26 dated 06.08.2010 on the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in preventing the industrial accidents, catastrophes, natural disasters and mitigation of their consequences between the Governments of Ukraine and the Russian Federation dated 23.04.2010 , Mi-8 MTV helicopter of "Ukrainian helicopters" aviation company carried out a positioning flight on 07.08.2010 to Grabtsevo airdrome, Kaluzhskaya oblast, the Russian Federation, to perform air operations on fighting large scale forest fires.

Two more "Ukrainian Helicopters" aircrafts were timely positioned under the framework of the UNAMID mission in Sudan

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is now on the list of the countries where the company's powerful Mi-8 MTV-1 helicopters perform flight operations

Since 1 February 2010, two helicopters of the Aviation Company started to operate under the UN tasks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This is the third African country where the Company's aircrafts are currently performing flight tasks of the UN mission in the Congo (MONUC), the other two countries being the Republic of the Sudan and The Ivory Coast where our helicopters have been working since 2008.

The Haitian earthquake, one of the most powerful for the last 200 years, shook the entire world. There are no accurate numbers of its victims yet, however, among those affected by the earthquake are also officials of the UN mission in Haiti. The UN office was also been considerably destroyed.
