There are no small acts of help. There are no "other people's" children. We help our defenders and the families of the fallen
The "Support Center for Combat Participants and Families of the Fallen" at the "Ukrainian Helicopters" company was created quite recently. However, the department is already actively receiving requests for assistance from the families of the fallen, defenders undergoing rehabilitation, the wounded, and families caring for military personnel. Recently, representatives of the Center visited the Lisovskyi family in Smila, Cherkasy region, who lost their breadwinner in the war.
Iryna, the wife, is left alone with three children. Her eldest daughter, Olena, is a second-year student at the Pedagogical University in Cherkasy, the middle son, Anton, recently returned from compulsory service in the National Guard of Ukraine, and the youngest, eight-year-old Denys, has moved to the fourth grade. The children support their mother and hope she will begin to enjoy life again.
"His last words were 'Sunshine, I love you.' I still keep all our messages. I constantly reread them. I miss him so much," recalls Iryna.
The "Support Center for Combat Participants and Families of the Fallen" at the "Ukrainian Helicopters" company works with such families, providing financial assistance. These are our first steps, but they are effective, as the family received truly valuable support.
"Friends of the family reached out to us, and we responded almost immediately. At the family's request, we purchased clothes, school supplies, a backpack, and a tablet for the younger son. For the daughter, we provided a computer for studying, clothes, and spring-autumn footwear. This is important help, as the family of the fallen defender is still living in a rented apartment and waiting for compensation after the loss of their breadwinner," sums up the meeting, the center's head, Yevhenii Tymoshenko.
