Ukrainian businesses are stepping up to help. The airline “Ukrainian Helicopters” actively engages in charitable activities, allocating 212.6 million UAH for this purpose. One area of focus is supporting veterans.

Recently, company representatives visited Bucha, presenting 130 veterans with certificates worth 15,000 UAH each, redeemable for any goods at the “Epicenter” retail chain. Additionally, the heroes were treated to a pleasant surprise- concert featuring well-known performers: Anzhelika Rudnytska, Mykhailo Panchyshyn, Katia Boiko, and Anna Dobrydnieva.

During the ceremonial event, Lesia Chervinska, Director of Communications at “Ukrainian Helicopters”, emphasized the importance of social support for veterans:

“We are grateful to everyone who fought for our freedom. Presenting these certificates is our way of expressing gratitude and helping those returning to peaceful life. This is tangible support to provide essential items for their homes and families”.

The certificates will allow veterans to purchase a wide range of products - from household appliances and furniture to everyday items. For many of them, this support is extremely important.

“This certificate is not just a gift; it’s a gesture of care for us. It feels great to know we’re not forgotten and are supported during this challenging time. And the concert—it’s like psychological relief; it really lifts your spirits after being in the hospital and going through rehabilitation. It’s fantastic,” shared veteran Oleksandr.

This initiative is implemented in collaboration with the Kyiv Regional Council’s municipal institution, the “Kyiv Regional Center for Assistance to Ukraine's Defenders named after Vitalii Anatoliiovych Baranov”, and aims to support Ukrainian defenders. They have given so much strength and health to protect the country and now need assistance to reintegrate into peaceful life.

The event by “Ukrainian Helicopters” is part of a broader veteran support program, which includes help with medical rehabilitation and comprehensive treatment for defenders in private clinics. Such initiatives aim not only at providing material support but also at helping veterans integrate into society and facilitating their professional and social adaptation.
