"Ukrainian Helicopters" helped 1,000 children of fallen heroes prepare for school

Ukrainian businesses are supporting veterans and families of fallen soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

The "Support Center for Combat Participants and Families of the Fallen," a division of the "Ukrainian Helicopters" company, continues its social project to support the children of fallen defenders. This initiative is implemented jointly with the Kyiv Regional Military Administration and the territorial communities of Kyiv region.

Over 1,000 half-orphans were welcomed by "Ukrainian Helicopters" at the start of the school year, receiving gift certificates worth 10,000 UAH. With these, the children can buy everything they need for school at "Epicenter" stores. In addition to the gifts, the little ones also enjoyed an interesting and educational performance, "Puss in Boots," at the Kyiv Academic Puppet Theatre. 

"I really like these helicopters, and the toy goose is my dream. My mom and I have wanted to see this performance for a long time. I loved this fairy tale when I was a child. I'll tell my classmates all about our little adventure," shares the girl, Kira.

Laughter and chatter filled the hall as the children expressed their joy and shared their emotions. These moments are priceless for each of us. It is precisely because of such moments that we truly understand what we are fighting for and why it is so important to preserve the country for future generations.

Furthermore, "Ukrainian Helicopters" has taken on the monthly financial support of 14 full orphans of fallen soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"As a responsible business, we understand how important it is to support such initiatives now and set an example for other companies to do the same. We must remember the children of those heroes who gave their lives in the fight for Ukraine's independence," commented Yevhenii Tymoshenko, the head of the “Support Center for Combat Participants and Families of the Fallen”.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the company "Ukrainian Helicopters" has donated more than 145 million UAH to support the Ukrainian army. The airline also takes care of the families of fallen employees, providing each family with a one-time financial aid of nearly 5 million UAH, as well as monthly assistance of 100,000 UAH for each minor child until they turn 18. Recently established, the "Support Center for Combat Participants and Families of the Fallen" has already provided assistance in emergency medical interventions, rehabilitation, and recovery for 9 veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in just one month of its activity. In total, the company has allocated more than 13 million UAH for children's programs.
