Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Engineering Support for Avionics and Electrical Systems Maintenance Program)

Key responsibilities:

  • To provide technical leadership and guidance to the Technical Department specialists responsible for avionics and electrical systems.
  • To participate in activities aimed at monitoring and ensuring the quality of aircraft maintenance.
  • To analyze the causes of failures and malfunctions of avionics and electrical systems, identify errors made by engineering and technical personnel, and prepare proposals for corrective and preventive actions.
  • To conduct reliability analyses of aviation equipment within the area of avionics and electrical systems and develop recommendations to improve aircraft reliability and reduce the number of failures.
  • To carry out warranty and claims management activities with manufacturers and overhaul organizations regarding failures of aircraft and components related to avionics and electrical systems.
  • To participate in monitoring the effectiveness of aircraft maintenance programmes and in their continuous improvement.
  • To monitor compliance with approved aircraft maintenance programmes and ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with those programmes.
  • To participate in developing tasks for the replacement of aircraft components and in preparing aircraft configuration schemes.
  • To participate in departmental work planning and in preparing financial calculations required to support aircraft operation. Provide proposals aimed at optimizing the use of material resources during the organization and performance of aircraft maintenance and current repairs.
  • To participate in periodic assessments of the theoretical knowledge and practical competence of the technical personnel of the Maintenance Division.
  • To develop technical specifications for modernization projects within the area of avionics and electrical systems for the Company’s helicopters and supervise the performance of such work to ensure compliance with the established technical requirements.
  • To monitor the maintenance of aircraft service life records, operational and monthly utilization records, aircraft and component life limits, and ensure that all records are updated in a timely manner following the replacement of aircraft components.

Candidate requirements:

  • Higher specialized education with a qualification level of at least Specialist or equivalent, and relevant professional training.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the relevant field, including at least 3 years of experience in the maintenance of Mi-8MT (MTV) helicopters.
  • Extensive professional knowledge of the operation of Mi-8MTV aircraft.
  • Ability to analyze aircraft failures, assess the technical condition of aircraft and installed components.
  • Knowledge of the requirements governing Continuing Airworthiness Management Organizations (CAMO).
  • Computer skills sufficient for confident use of software required to perform official duties.
  • English language proficiency sufficient for the effective performance of professional duties.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel).
